Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026. Wrenton SAS (see the legal notice) is the data controller for Rewatch.
What we collect
- A random identifier stored in your browser to keep your credits and creations together.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture, so your credits and creations follow you on every device. We never see your Google password.
- The ideas and settings you type, the photos you upload for a photo trend or to star in a video, and the songs and clips made from them.
- Your email address and payment details when you buy credits (payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number), or when you join the waitlist.
- Basic technical logs (IP address, browser) kept by our host for security.
Why
To make and deliver your clips (contract), to take payments and keep invoices (legal obligation), and to prevent abuse of the free tier (legitimate interest). We do not sell your data and we do not use your ideas to train models.
Emails
When you create an account with Google, we send you one welcome email. We send news about formats (at most one email a week) only if you tick the box asking for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also untick the box in My creations. Emails are sent through Cloudflare.
Who processes it for us
Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (lyrics and scene writing, and reading the photo you add to describe its main character), ElevenLabs (singing, timing and subtitles), fal.ai (AI images and video scenes made from your idea or photo) and Amazon Web Services (video rendering). Some are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long
Creations and ideas are kept for 90 days, then deleted. Account details are kept while your account is active; write to us to delete it. Payment records are kept for 10 years as required by French law.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr). We do not use advertising cookies; your browser only stores the Rewatch identifier.
